The full size Decathlon is a favourite aerobatic mount of many pilots, and just simply oozes character, with its boxy fuselage, struts and smart spats. Seagull have done a great job of capturing this character with their EP version, and as you would expect the model is beautifully constructed from Balsa and Ply with a superb GRP cowling - all the building work is done for you! The model is covered in genuine Oracover, regarded the world over as the best covering film available, which not only makes for a durable model but makes repairs a lot easier should these ever be required.
Don't let the high wing fool you into thinking this is a trainer, the model is capable of all the aerobatic manoeuvres of the full size and then some, and yet has a stability that makes it an excellent second model. We think every modeller should have one of these in their hanger, the sheer delight of doing gentle touch and goes and smooth aerobatics with a model as good looking as this is one of life's great pleasures!
The boxy fuselage makes RC installation a breeze, and there is lots of room left for say a FlyCam camera pointing down the wing - great stuff.
